Position paper on the Vision for Agriculture and Food

In President Ursula von der Leyen's Political Guidelines for her European Commission 2024-2029, she announced a new Vision for Agriculture and Food.

The European Biosolutions Coalition welcomes the European Commission’s commitment to ensuring that EU agrifood systems are environmentally and socially sustainable. These priorities are amplified in the Political Guidelines and the Strategic Dialogue on the Future of EU Agriculture which constitutes the foundation of the upcoming Vision for Agriculture and Food.

The European Biosolutions Coalition would therefore like to contribute constructively to the Vision for Agriculture and Food, supporting European agrifood systems that empower the synergy between traditional agriculture and innovations provided by the biosolutions sector.
