Welcome to Concordia Employers' Confederation
We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to Confederatia Patronala Concordia as the newest partner in the Coalition.
Concordia Employers’ Confederation represents 17 of the most important sectors in the Romanian economy and companies with more than 350,000 employees, contributing to 26% of Romania’s total GDP.
“There is value in the green economy, we need to make it part of an industrial deal to strengthen the EU competitiveness while remaining committed to the Green Deal. In this context, biotechnology is part of the solution. We are pleased to join our Danish lead and other European colleagues in the effort to make biosolutions a priority on the EU agenda” says Adelina Dabu, Head of Public Affairs at Concordia Employers’ Confederation.
Concordia becomes the Coalition’s 8th member. From its position as a representative social dialogue partner, its interests span across a wide variety of subjects such as the labor market, social dialogue, consumers’ protection, EU and circular economy. Yet their interests already match the European and international level, as they are active members of Business Europe, the International Organization of Employers and Business at OECD.
“We are honored to welcome Concordia as the newest members of the Coalition. With their membership, the Coalition now includes Eastern Europe and makes us stronger at a crucial time, as the Biosolutions agenda has gained momentum since the Commission presented their Communication on Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing March 20th”, says Sofie Carsten Nielsen, director of the European Biosolutions Coalition.
On behalf of the Coalition and all its members, we thank Romanian Industry for their dedication and perseverance. Concordia enriches our commitment to sustainability, resilience and competitiveness in the EU, and we can’t wait to start working with them.
