The Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists becomes the newest partner
The European Biosolutions Coalition welcomes our newest partner, the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (LPK), into the Coalition.
It is with great pleasure the European Biosolutions Coalition welcomes our newest partner, the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (LPK), into the Coalition. Their membership covers all main sectors of industry, and which generates 58 % of Lithuanian GDP. The Confederation is an umbrella organization uniting 55 branch and 7 regional associations, including Association LithuaniaBIO.
Tomas Andrejauskas, President of the Association LithuaniaBIO, says: "We are happy to join forces with major leading bio-industries in other European countries to advocate for a clear and more streamlined future conditions for bio-industry in the EU. Lately we were experiencing phenomenal happenings in the biotech industry, when our biotech startups receive initial seed money from European funds, but later they choose to go and start producing in the US due to better investment climate and regulatory market conditions. If we really want to have key technologies and bio industry in Europe, we must look for an inclusive regulatory approach and policies in the EU.”
The Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (LPK) is a major association in Lithuania which represents the interests of large industrialists and employers. The Confederation is an umbrella organization uniting 55 branch and 7 regional associations which comprise over 4000 medium and large enterprises from various public and private sectors. Membership covers all main sectors of industry and unites over a third of the Lithuanian work force, which generates 58% of Lithuanian GDP. LPK's mission is to create an optimal economic environment for Lithuanian business representing their interest nationally and internationally (EU, OECD).
